Reality Shows

First of all

A reality show is a television show that deals with real people in real situations. Reality shows range from those depicting police operations and emergency rescues to those in which people divorce, choose marriage partners, or actively deal with their personal problems on air.

I don't really watch reality shows. But I know enough to tell the difference between the three shows, and how they're similar.

All three shows is based on real people in a real competition. And every single week, one contestant is sent home. Also, all three shows have plots stolen from British or American shows.

There's cameras following them everywhere, as they fight to be the last man standing. There's a lot of emotions in all shows, and the more dramatic happenings there is, the more popular the show gets.

Jakten På Kjærligheten:

This show is basically about a farmer who during the next weeks, will chose a wife from the contestants. The show is about romance... and farming. Like the other shows, one contestant is sent home every week, and the final contestant hopefully wins the Farmers heart.

71 Grader Nord:

Here, the contestants is on a great adventure to get to “Nordkapp.” It's much alike the American show “The Amazing Race”, which still airs on both American and Norwegian Television. The contestants is tested physically and mentally as they fight their way to “Nordkapp.”

Paradise Hotel:

This show is basically about partying, mind-games, drinking, sex, and backstabbing.
It's targeted to today's youth, and is also a rip-off from other shows. The contestants are fit, between 18-25. And have some rather interesting personalities. The contestants is living in a Mexican Luxury Hotel, and is isolated from the outside world, while being constantly watched by the cameras
